Can I Really Make A Living By Blogging?

Coming up with extra cash to pay the bills, cover unexpected expenses, boost savings or perhaps even finance a vacation isn’t as hard as it seems. Making it even better is the fact that the money going into your 401(k) or other employer-sponsored retirement plan comes right off the top of what your employer reports to the IRS For most Americans, that means that each dollar invested really only costs them 65 to 75 cents out of their pockets.

Many people have made extra income from it…from just enough to buy their virtual outfits/skin/appearance, to paying for their virtual living needs (land tier and purchase, etc), to actually pulling Real Life dollars from the game…I even know of many who made their living from it (and one person who died in real life, and her friend stepped in, and now runs her business, with the money going to support the deceased player’s children).

However, if you don’t mind in spending some time answering questions in exchange for cash, Surveys on the Go definitely has advantages over other survey systems: it’s up-front about how much money you’re making (listing it in cash rather than points) and it pays cash rather than gift cards.

Many conferences are organized around specific programming languages or specific communities (PyCon for Python programmers; the Strata conference for big data; Oscon for open-source coders); these are ritual events for the people in those communities.

I completely agree with your thought that applying a solution to common problems is the way to go in any business including blogging but one of the elements that blogging guru’s really leave out of the equation is the requisite talent required to pull together all the necessary pieces to be a financially successful blogger (writing skills, creative skills, marketing skills, experience, etc.).

This is a case where offering a default option of opting in, rather than opting out (as many have suggested with organ donations as well) doesn’t take away choice but guides us to make better ones, according to Richard H. Thaler, an economics professor at the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, and Cass R. Sunstein, a professor at Chicago’s law school, who are the authors of Nudge: Improving Decisions About Health, Wealth and Happiness” (Yale University Press, 2008).

The hardest work in programming is getting around things that aren’t computable, in finding ways to break impossible tasks into small, possible components, and then creating the impression that the computer is doing something it actually isn’t, like having a human conversation.

You get to decide how much or how little you want to earn, based on how much time and effort you put into it. For example, if you check your email often and take all surveys as soon as you receive the invitation, or you log into the Paid Surveys FREE members’ area on a regular basis to check for updates and register for new surveys, you will make more money than someone who just checks their email once a week and take one survey here and there.
